Tutoring Programs

High-Impact Tutoring is one of the most effective and scalable intervention models in K-12 education. As a part of leading state and district initiatives, we deliver live online tutoring to help schools boost their lowest performing students.

We teach small groups of students, at a 4:1 ratio, for 45-50 minute sessions, 4-5 times per week, during school and after-school. With consistent teacher relationships, high quality curriculum, and regular data review, we meet NSSA’s Tutoring Quality Standards.

We participate in Outcomes Based Contracting models, where payment is tied to measurable student outcomes, aligning our work with the schools and students we serve.

Fractional Specialist

Most middle and high schools have a few students who need a lot of help with reading. Those schools bring us in on a “fractional specialist” model, combining our virtual specialists with a paraprofessional in the building to deliver a full year of intervention services. For the budget of a half or three-quarters FTE, we can support all of a school’s students with severe word reading difficulties.

The fractional specialist model leverages existing intervention block time instead of pulling students from classes throughout the day, maximizing in-class learning. As part of an MTSS program, it ensures students get the help they need.

Many schools use our intervention sessions to fulfill a student’s IEP service minutes – we participate in goal-setting and progress monitoring and reporting.
